Versatile function Venue
Bangor Farm is the perfect venue for both indoor and outdoor functions. Inside the Deer Shed, if you are looking to hold a larger function, The Barn room offers a large open floor space below an eight meter high ceiling with a capacity of 300 people. The Long room is suitable for seated conferences or meals for up to 120 guests. The Auditorium comfortably accommodates up to 200+ guests for speeches and presentations with professional sound equipment, microphones and projector.
Step outside into the fresh Canterbury air, shaded by the Oak trees and a backdrop of the Southern Alps. We also offer two marquee sites, one located in The Park and another near The Ponds, with plenty of space for the guests to enjoy the unique experience the surrounding landscape and oak trees provide.
The beautiful oak trees and vast lawns provide a magical space for you to exchange vows and beautiful backdrop for your photographs. Throughout the grounds you will find many special and unique settings for your perfect photographs, including a wooden bridge over the ponds and the wilderness of the Oak forest.
Bangor Farm is perfect for Team building and Corporate Events. On our 170 acre farm you have privacy and an environment from feeding the animals to walking through the forests of oaks, watching the local farmer shearing the sheep and participating in exercises that relate to your business.

“I am writing on behalf of the Executive of the Blue Greens to thank you for your efforts in making the Forum held on 28 April 2018 at the Deer Shed such a success. All the feedback from the delegates re the venue has been extremely positive. The facilities, the auditorium arrangement, the sound system and technologies were ideal. The dining and socialising area worked well - especially as the torrential rain prevented people from moving outside. The Blue Greens always hold their Annual forums in different areas around the country and The Deer Shed fitted perfectly with our values and this years topics - water storage and use, climate change and all the associated issues of resource management, environmental protection and sustainability. Again Thank you for your help in running a successful Forum” - Sue McKenzie
